The D’Viajeros form
In addition to applying for a Cuban visa, anyone travelling to the country must complete a form created by the Cuban Immigration Department. This form is called the 'D’Viajeros' and activates your Cuban visa. Find out more about the form and how to complete it.
The D'Viajeros form
The D’Viajeros form was introduced by the Cuban authorities. They can, in this way, collect data about tourists wishing to visit the country. The data include personal details, information about their trip to Cuba, the traveller’s health, and any items they wish to declare at customs. The D’Viajeros form is also used to activate the visa for Cuba.
The D'Viajeros form replaces several separate forms, such as the arrival card, the customs declaration and the health declaration. The D'Viajeros form combines questions from these three forms into one. Completing the D’Viajeros form does not entail any additional cost.
When should I register my trip on D'Viajeros?
All travellers arriving in Cuba must register their trip via the D'Viajeros website and answer questions relating to the possibility of having or presenting symptoms of Covid-19. To ensure the information is up to date, the form must be completed no more than seven days before arrival. In fact, the form can only be completed during the seven days prior to the expected arrival date.
You can apply for the e-visa for Cuba in advance of your travel date. You are advised to submit your application as soon as possible to make sure you receive your visa in good time.
How do I fill in the form?
Once your visa application for Cuba is approved, you will receive an email and a text message. The email will contain a link to your personal status page, where you can check the status of your application. To the right of your name, you will see a link labelled “Activate”, which you can click at any time during the 7 days prior to your arrival date. Once you have done this, you will be redirected to the D'Viajeros website.
Please remember that you must access the D'Viajeros website via the link on your personal status page, rather than going directly via an internet search. When you click the on the ‘Activate’ link on your personal status page, your visa details will automatically appear on your D'Viajeros form. As soon as you open the link, you can change the language settings by clicking on the relevant button. You must then complete the 5 pages of the form.
1. Contact and passport details
On the first page, you must provide your name, date of birth, nationality, passport number and country of residence. Although you are not required to provide your email address or telephone number, it is advisable to do so. This will allow you to receive a code via email, which you can then use to access the form. This may be useful if you wish to amend your details later.
2. Travel information
On the second page, you will need to answer a series of questions about your trip, such as your date of arrival in Cuba, your flight number, the name of your airline, the airport you will be arriving at in Cuba, and the purpose of your trip. In this last section, you must select the option ‘Tourism’. Furthermore, your visa number (Electronic Visa Number) will also appear automatically on this page.
3. Sanitary details and accomodation
On the third page of the form, you will be asked to provide information regarding your accommodation in Cuba. You must indicate the address of your hotel or accommodation. You will also need to name the countries you have visited in the last 15 days. You will also be asked to declare if you have symptoms of certain illnesses, if you have had covid, if you have been in contact with anyone with the disease, or if you have visited a hospital or a farm in the last 15 days.
4. Customs declaration
On the fourth page of the form, you need to fill in the customs form and declare if you will be bringing any goods into the country that need to be declared to customs. It is mandatory to declare any sum of money equal to or exceeding 5,000 USD, whether in this currency or another. You must also declare all goods with a value equal to or exceeding 1,000 USD.
5. Declaration and confirmation
The final section of the form is a declaration confirming that you have completed it fully and truthfully. Once you have confirmed this, a notification stating that the form has been completed will appear, and you will see four red buttons. Clicking the two middle buttons, 'View (PDF)' and 'View (JPG)', will allow you to download a confirmation showing the filled-in details and a QR code. You must present this to the immigration authorities on arrival in Cuba. Therefore, it is important that you either print this confirmation or save it to your mobile phone or tablet.
On the confirmation, your visa number will appear above a barcode. The Cuban authorities will scan it and see that you have a valid visa. Please note that you will not receive any other documents with your visa for Cuba. The confirmation you will receive after completing the D'Viajeros form also includes your visa.
